The annual hot sale has arrived. Its amazing how we Singaporean women are able to brave the blazing tropical heat to pick up a bargain product that we probably will not use. No matter. At least I bought it at a cheaper price. Will I use it? Maybe. Now that I have it. But I did buy it at a cheaper price than so-and-so did. And that's the crux of the matter.
It won't come as a surprise to many of us if a poll is done and the GSS wins as a phenomenon that women have more vested interest in than the recent GE. Not that we are shallow but comsumerism is the byproduct of urban evolution, isn't it? And we are urbanites, born of urbanites, almost helpless to the sick smog of desire to have a piece of every pie, ultimately, enslaving ourselves to covetism.
Urbanisation wins.
And I? Still trying to sell you one of my vintage-inspired items, tapping on the lures of that big bad wolf a.k.a GSS. Come on, be my unsuspecting sheep.
